Students sometimes have a mood that they are lazy to get up from the bed and start to pay attention to going to school. And this is the time where our parents started to show their tough love to us but don't misinterpret it, just think about it that it is just their way to encourage and motivate us to agitate and start doing the tasks that are meant to happen every other day. And that is to go to school.
However, it is just the parent's reverse-psychology way in order to discipline their kids. And it was somehow effective that their. They just want us to understand what we can achieve when we exert effort and do a little hard work and perseverance about everything and wait for it, all of your effort and hard works will surely pay off.
Meanwhile, a fresh graduate shared her story online. It is about how she was motivated to strive harder in able for her to finish college.
However, it is such an inspiring and very heart touching story but it also has this bittersweet side story about who motivates her to study hard. So who's this person that encourages her and the reason why she is what is today? It is her dearly departed father.
The fresh graduate who shared her story in public is no other than Lucy Pascual Paloma. Lucy went to her father's grave site while wearing his ceremonial graduation robe as he visits her departed father. Paloma shared how her father used to scold her when she was feeling lazy or unmotivated and started recalling about it. She was reminiscing everything about how her father didn't give up to urge her and encourage her to use her full potential because he believes in her skills.
“Wag ka nang mag-aral” or “Sali ka pa ng sali sa ganyan wala ka namang talent,” is what her father always telling her. However, she takes these words as a challenge for her and starts proving her father that she has a talent and it didn't let these things to discouraged from her dreams.

Despite the discouraging words of her father, she proudly says that her father appreciates her every accomplishment in school and she appreciates her father's supportive attitude.
Lucy revealed her difficulties being a child of a tricycle driver. But sad to say, her father was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease 5 and had to stay in the hospital at that time. And despite her father's ailing condition, he still showed his positive attitude to lessen the worries of his family. Lucy hopes that her father was able to see her graduate and stay alive for a longer time, but unfortunately, it was not meant to happen.
It was December 17, 2016, when her father passed away.
“I love you at miss na miss na kita. I hope you’re proud of me.” she said in her post.
